Call for Demonstrations

Overview

The ADBIS 2025 Demonstration Track provides a forum for presenting prototypes, apps, methods and applications in the area of databases, information systems, data science, artificial intelligence and machine learning in an interactive way. Researcher and practitioners will experience an opportunity to discuss their work in early stages of implementation and gather relevant feedback for their ongoing work.

Prototypes and early releases both from research institutions and from industry are welcome. Proposals for demonstrations should focus on innovative concepts or technologies that address models, methodologies, and engineering technologies contributing to advance databases and information systems and their applications.

We invite submissions relevant to the following broad topics:

  • Database Management Systems
  • Information Systems architectures and data services
  • Management and Mining of Heterogeneous Data Types
  • Big Data Management and Analytics
  • Scalable Data Science
  • Responsible Data Science

Important Dates

All deadlines are 11:59 PM AoE

  • Paper submission deadline: June 12, 2025
  • Notification of acceptance: July 6, 2025
  • Camera-ready paper submission deadline: July 20, 2025

Submission Guidelines

Demo papers must present original, novel research works and tools or significant extensions of previously presented papers. In the latter case, there must be clear evidence of the value added to the previous version of the work, e.g., by describing the innovative parts, application, or implementation of the work or tool.

Papers should be submitted in PDF format using the CMT online submission system after selecting the ADBIS2025 - Demos Track: https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/ADBIS2025.

Demo papers are limited to a maximum of 8 pages.

The demo papers will be conference proceedings will be published in proceedings with the Springer series “Communications in Computer and Information Science” (CCIS).

Authors should consult Springer’s authors’ guidelines and use their proceedings templates, either for LaTeX or for Word, for the preparation of their papers. Springer encourages authors to include their ORCIDs in their papers. In addition, the corresponding author of each paper, acting on behalf of all the authors of that paper, must complete and sign a Licence-to-Publish agreement. The corresponding author, who must match the corresponding author marked on the paper, must have the full right, power, and authority to sign the agreement on behalf of all the authors of a particular paper, and accepts responsibility for releasing this material on their behalf. Once the files have been sent to Springer, changes relating to the authorship of the papers cannot be made. An author of an accepted paper must register to ADBIS 2025 in order to have the paper published, and accepted papers must be presented at the conference by one of the authors.

Awards

Springer will sponsor the ADBIS 2025 Best Demonstration Paper, which will be announced during the ADBIS 2025 Banquet.
